Attack and Defense Rules
Attackers can start with any card. After cards are on the table, throw-in cards must match a rank already attacking or defending. The defender beats with a higher card of the same suit or any trump against a non-trump attack.
Table Actions
Durak has no action-card deck. The tactical depth comes from how ordinary cards are attacked, defended, thrown in, transferred, beaten, or taken.
Attack
starts the exchangeThe attacker places the first card. Other attacking cards must respect the current table ranks and the defender's remaining card count.
Defend
cover every attackThe defender covers each attacking card with a higher card of the same suit, or with trump if the attacking card is not trump.
Beat or Take
round decisionIf every attack is covered, attackers can say Beat and the table is cleared. If the defender cannot or will not defend, they take the table cards.
Advanced Modes
Throw-in
rank matchingWhen throw-in is enabled, attackers can add cards that match ranks already visible on the table, up to the defender's capacity.
Transfer
same-rank defenseIn transfer rooms, the defender can move the attack to the next player by playing a card with the same rank as the active attack.
